Key-File

DESlock+ uses a key-file, which is used to store your encryption keys. The key-file is kept on your computer's hard drive and you must log-in to it in order to encrypt/decrypt data with DESlock+.

DESlock+ will allow you to move your key-file to another location such as a USB flash drive, thus enabling the flash drive to control the login to DESlock+.

Un-plugging the USB flash drive will log you out of DESlock+, enhancing the security.

Using the key-file in this way also means that your licence is portable and you can therefore use the same
DESlock+ key-file on other computers.
